Insurance and Private Benefits

Many private health insurance plans and employee benefit plans cover all or some treatment. I provide receipts that you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Please check your coverage carefully by considering the following questions:

1. Does your insurance cover a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work (MSW)?

2. How many sessions per year does my insurance cover?

3. What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

4. What is my total yearly coverage for therapy?

Since September 2012 therapy sessions provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) can be claimed as a medical expense when filing your income tax return.
